my parakeet went bonkers on me?
i bought a parakeet bout three mo ago and i have her hand trained her favorite perch is on my shoulder, she kisses me quite often, but this morning when i went to get her out of her cage she tried to bite me. she had a gym in her cage we had bought from a pet store. but while cleaning it, it broke so as a new perch we brought a stick in from outside. she loves it but if even put my hand in its cage this morning she ran after my hand trying to bite it. why is this?
Well your parakeet can be mad that her gym broke either that or she's in a bad mood. My bird was like that too, when i got her she was happy and cheerful but then she started biting me A LOT. I asked my friend and she said it's because she's a female and they're very protective because they're usually the ones who protect the eggs (It's a bird thing)
