Tips on keeping cats from bringing dead things into the house?
Hello,
My two cats go outside to the backyard to use the bathroom and also play and get excercise. Unfortunantly they like to bring dead lizards and mice into the house....
I can't patrol the door all the time and I really don't want kitty litter in the house......is there any other way of training them to stop it. They keep leaving me animal parts...I guess they are leaving us scraps like we leave them scraps from dinner....?
Lucky you! Your cats are bringing you "food" as presents because they respect or love you.
My cat has done this.
When they bring in the food and you notice it, bring it outside.
Eventually they will learn that you like haveing your 'presents' outside.
