Where can I find sugar glider (sugar bears) on long island?
I know of the store Parrots of the world the only thing is that their pricing is a little much for me. Th sell gliders for either $250-300 depending on age. I will resort to them if I can't find any other places. I've been looking for breeders but can't find any around here. Petfinder does'nt help either. So if anyone knows a good site, breeder, store, etc....that would be awesome! Thanks a bunch and I'll give 10 points to best answer!!!!!!=)
I deinetly did my research on these guys for about a year now and I know I can provide great care for them. They might be in their cage about 10% of the day and will be with me for 90% of it. I have heard that pet stores aren't great but thats why I asked this question, to find a better place to get them=)
Check hoobly.com that's where I found a breeder in Minnesota when I got a sugar glider, it was $150 but most are more. I would strongly suggest not buying from a pet store because they are rarely handled and its very likely they won't be as friendly. Sugar gliders need to be around their owner a lot so they can pick up your scent and bond with you, they stay in their cage about the whole time they are at a pet store and it will be a lot more difficult to bond with them.
