Planning on building an oversize cat tower?
I plan on building a cat tower, kind of like the one http://www.cozycatfurniture.com/huge_cattower.html
However, I want to make it spread out across the room, as a wider cat tower, so my kitten wouldn't get bored of it. I want to make it like my cat's hangout. I want to enjoy this project and take some time and make it properly as I have a few months. I have a couple of questions about it.
Would it be wise to make one of the little rooms in the tower a litter box?
Can I put it's food and water bowl in there? As well as a nice scratching post?
Would this be a bad idea? Would my cat enjoy it? Thanks for all the answers.
Maybe her bed just as well? Though, if I did do all of this, would she never come out?

I would advise against adding a litter box to your cat tower, as cats instinctively do not like to play where they defecate.
You can put the food and water in the cat tower, but I would advise against that, as well. Cats typically won't associate eating with playing, so your cat will look at her new tower and see it only as where the food is.
A scratching post is a great idea, though. It may even help save your carpet or furniture. Make sure you make the scratching post durable, however, as you don't want to have to rewrap it every month due to fraying.
If you put her bed inside, it would definitely be a comfortable place for her to take a cat nap when she's done playing, but she won't really associate the tower with sleeping. Instead, you may want to fold a soft fleece blanket in half a couple times and put it in a corner of the tower, that way she has a place to nap without actually considering it her bed.
