Tent Hut Toy
Anybody have a tent for their cat?
Last weekend I went out to the Columbus Pet Expo here in Ohio. Among several toys and other things, I actually got a small tent for my cat! I think it's adorable (it looks like an elephant and is actually a kids' tent), and set it up in my living room. Here's a pic of the same tent I bought:

The back has a nice big opening, the two feet in front unzip into kitty-sized entrances, and the ear flaps on the sides roll up revealing two screened windows. I put some blankets and toys inside, and my cat loves it! It's her own little fort. It's safe and sets up anywhere with just 2 tent poles on the inside.
Has anybody else out there tried this or something similar with their cat or kitten?
Yeah! My kitty loves hers.. Well... Loves destroying it... And I also got her a little privacy curtain for her litterbox. She loves it.
(She carries around the tentpoles and leaves them in the closet)

Outdoor Fun with Play Tents
What could be the best way to spend a lovely, sunny afternoon other than having a wild outdoor adventure? Children loves to play outdoors and kids definitely look forward in spending the entire afternoon running around, playing tag or hide and seek with siblings, relatives and friends.
People always thought that tents are only used as outdoor camping equipments. Little do we know play tents could be a great outdoor escape for little kids and toddlers. Play tents provide pure fun and excitement with a twist of learning, exploration and extraordinary journey.
There are various play tents designed for boys and girls of different ages. Tent tunnels are ideal for toddlers and little crawlers who are still at the peak of their inquisitiveness. At this age, children are beginning to discover their own strength and capabilities. Tunnel tents allow them to crawl and make believe that they are in another magical world full of new learning.
Aside from this, children are able to practice their gross motor skills, balance and coordination. By merely crawling around, chasing play mates inside these little tunnels, they are able to strengthen their bones and muscles and become physically equipped for more active play. They start to improve their social interaction with other kids since they are able to engage to interactive play and collaborate with other kids their age.
Play tents come in different sizes, colors and style. Some might have some certain attachments like play huts and pop up versions that could be easily set up just about anywhere. It could turn into a castle, a building or tree house. It could be placed inside the house, inside your kid's playroom or even in daycare centers or doctor's clinic. It would definitely be helpful in getting rid of your kid's boredom while waiting for your turn to see your doctor.
Parents would definitely enjoy putting up these play tents with their kids. They should always see to it that their children's play tents are safe for their children and have no hazardous materials that could possibly harm the kids while doing some vigorous play time.
Kid's play tents may not be your conventional play toy but it offers a unique kind of play time experience like no other. Parents will be left in awe with how their children could become so creative and imaginative when playing inside their very own play tent.
